Mom’s House Burnt Down

Hi my name is Jamie Lint and my sister Kera Owens have created this go fund me to raise money for our mother Robin Owens, who lost her home to a fire on 5/30/23. She was in the process of getting insurance on her home but had to wait until her roof was replaced and did not have any home owners insurance when the fire broke out. She has lost everything. She had been in this home since 1979 and was the home me and my sister grew up in. The home had a lot of meaning to all of us. She has lost all of her belongings, clothes, phone, purse and car keys. She was stuck in the house during the fire but three young boys helped her get out. She was taken by ambulance to a burn unit her burns are minor and will heal not sure if she will need surgery yet or not. She is going to be missing some work due to this, she is past retirement age and still works taking care of the elderly in her community. We are so glad that she made it out safe but sad to see all the memories that are gone. She won’t even have the money to tear the house down as she will probably not be able to rebuild. She is in dire need of the basics and will eventually need a place to live after she gets released from the hospital and will need some financial help to get her by while she is not working. Any donation will help we would love to see her rebuild but know that probably won’t happen. We will be reaching out to Red Cross and other local organizations for clothing and personal needs.
